This is where I meet my kids for the first time and get a feel for what type of kids they are and how I will work practices from that point on. It is very important you set rules and expectations so time won’t be wasted correcting disruptive behavior. And yes, I do take phones away during practices. Absolutely no distractions occur during my practices. 😉
